Bash 2010 - B Shed Flemington Markets to Byron Bay - August 22 - 30

Year TWELVE of the Pigs - Sallymae Bailey, Helen Lavery and Yih-Fye Freeman

Variety - the Children's Charity is dedicated to improving the quality of life for special needs children. In 2009 Variety NSW granted 248 appeals through programs such as Variety Freedom, Future Kids and Caring for Kids totalling $2.54 million.

$1,372,096 for hospital equipment
$830,000 for 9 Sunshine Coaches
$378,936 for wheelchairs and mobility devices
$271,360 for vehicle modifications
$171,920 for 9 Liberty Wheelchair Swings
$65,376 for walking frames and strollers
$49,572 for infant feeds and nappies
$31,577 for bathroom and bedroom equipment
$27,358 for life-like human hair wigs

Across Australian in 2009, over $13 million was given to helping individual children, hospitals, schools community groups and other charitable organisations.

The annual Variety Bash (all cars must be pre 1974) is Australia's most successful charity motoring event and is the focal point of the fund raising efforts for many hundreds of supporters of Variety. The Bash is not a race or a rally and speed is not important. What really matters is that everyone has an enjoyable time travelling in parts of Australia they would not otherwise see, at the same time raising money for our special needs children.

Car 333 - the Three Little Pigs is looking forward to the 2010 trip in August leaving from Shed B Flemington Markets to Byron Bay via, Temora, Cobar, Bourke, Moree, Goodiwindi, Toowoomba, Lismore and to a beach finish after 3,577 kilometres.

There is a new crew this year - Helen Lavery on her second Bash, and introducing virgin crew member - Yif-Fye Freeman.
Only 6 weeks to go....."Hamlet" the 1966 HR is ready......Pink Pig flags are ready to fly!

Fund raising and sponsorship is going extremely well and we are aiming for $17,000 or more if we can to help those gorgeous kids.
